Researcher + Writer + Scholar + Comrade
SERVICE
Apart from research, writing, and classroom teaching, I am committed to servicing multiple publics in ways that stem from my dedication to exploring Blackness in English and French across geo-linguistic contexts extending beyond the Americas. I center a place-based approach to programming. Such programing includes events free of charge and open to the greater public as well as closed-door research forums aimed at enhancing scholarship with an emphasis on intercontinental collaboration among colleagues.
Afro-Francospheres Project
In this spirit, during my postdoctoral tenure at Columbia University, I developed and secured funds for Afro-Francospheres project. Through the Afro-Francopsheres project, I collaborated with colleagues and recruited talent from within the institution, graduate students of Columbia University and recent alums of Columbia College.
BlackFranceNoire Collective
Afro-Francospheres constitute a conglomerate of Black Studies research centers, departments, and initiatives across universities that formulate BlackFranceNoire.
